“We are thrilled to partner with the East Coast Women’s Professional Golf Tour,” said Lauren Smith, Mizuno’s Player Development Representative. “It’s an ideal combination as both organizations have a strong desire to help aspiring players develop and progress through the professional ranks to the top of the game. Fit is much more based on ability than gender and we want to use as many avenues as possible to get that message across. The partnership with the ECWPGT is one of these ways.

“This is a great opportunity for our players to have access to the resources that Mizuno can provide,” said ECWPGT Operator Mark Berman. He added: “It is extremely important that our players know that they have the support of a big league brand and that they are recognized as the next stars of the LPGA Tour in the eyes of someone else. than theirs. While Mizuno’s investment allows us to dig deeper into the scholarship, it’s an investment in the future of women in gaming that it signals the most. We are proud to have them on board and excited to be able to provide Mizuno with a platform to recognize and celebrate the wealth of talent that will be in attendance at this event.

This is the latest in a series of initiatives from Mizuno designed to develop and support rising stars in golf. Mizuno is an official partner of the American Junior Golf Association through 2024 and a presenting sponsor of the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour. The goal of the East Coast Women’s Professional Golf Tour (ECWPGT) is to create playing opportunities for women who aspire to the LPGA Tour, whether they are current professional players, recent graduates or still in college. The Tour offers strong, competitive fields and events on championship courses in geographically desirable and accessible destinations. Tournaments are grouped together to help players save on travel expenses, the main prohibitive factor in deciding a playing career. It’s a development tour to help prepare players for the journey ahead – Q School, Epson Tour and life on the road as a professional player on the LPGA Tour.

The two Prep Series events that Mizuno sponsors specifically target LPGA Tour Q-school players. The preparation events give players a chance to hone their games on two of the courses that will be featured in Stage 1 of Q-School which will be played from August 18-21.
