These can include stays at five-star resorts, dining at lavish restaurants, luxury cruises or high-end vacation packages.

And, while we all crave those travel indulgences, most of us can’t afford to live like money is no object. So service comparison site money.co.uk recently compiled data on the world’s most popular cities to find out which destinations are the most affordable for travelers looking to enjoy the finer things in life on a budget. limit.

Factors considered to assess each city’s luxury travel combo offer included the average cost of a stay in a five-star hotel, a Michelin-starred meal, luxury car rental and an overnight stay in a spa hotel.

According to the company’s analysis, Bangkok took first place as the most affordable luxury destination overall, with a budget score of 9.49 out of 10. The Thai capital turned out to be the least expensive when it comes to renting a luxury ride, and was among the most affordable in three other categories as well.

Brussels, took second place as the next affordable global destination across the board, especially when looking at the cost of a five-star hotel ($363 per night) and luxury car rental ($151) . The legendary capital of Belgium is probably best known for its exceptional chocolate, beer and numerous cultural centers.

Located in the Veneto region of northern Italy, between the better known Venice and Milan, Verona has proven to be the third cheapest destination in the world for a luxury holiday. One of the country’s most popular romantic destinations due to its role in the Shakespearean canon as the setting for ‘Romeo and Juliet’, the ancient city on the Adige River is packed with historic architecture, local culture and of gastronomy.

In terms of representing an overall luxury travel bargain, the top ten was completed by Osaka in fourth, Berlin in fifth, Frankfurt in sixth, Rio de Janeiro in seventh, Tokyo in eighth, Lisbon in ninth. and Dublin in tenth place.

Other popular global cities have also been counted among the world’s most affordable luxury travel destinations in their own regards. For example, it turns out that Athens is the most affordable city for Michelin-starred restaurants, with the average cost of a set menu dinner being around $104.

Hong Kong proved to be the most affordable in terms of five-star accommodation, at an average rate of $292 per night (as listed on Booking.com). Meanwhile, the cheapest choice if you’re looking for a spa break is Osaka where the cost of a night in a spa hotel averages around $178. Of course, Japan is not yet a viable vacation option, as the Asian country is only now launching a test program for reopening tourism.
