GUAM (UAL) — United Airlines is reintroducing its Osaka, Japan service to Guam beginning July 1 to meet demand for summer travel to Guam.

The flight three times a week is scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flight UA151 will depart Guam at 7:20 a.m. and arrive in Osaka at 10:10 a.m. The return flight (UA150) will depart Osaka at 11:05 a.m. and arrive in Guam at 3:55 p.m.

Sam Shinohara, general manager of airport operations for Asia-Pacific at United, said, “We have always served the Tokyo market and we are very happy to reintroduce our flights to Osaka. Osaka is the second largest outbound market in Japan for Guam, and we have been working hard to restore service to more cities in Japan. We will offer three flights per week to Osaka to begin with and increase frequency as demand recovers.

“The addition of the Osaka-Guam service gives our customers in Japan greater access to Guam. We are proud to be the only airline to offer flight services between Japan and Guam,” Shinohara added.

Three additional weekly flights added between Tokyo/Narita and Guam

United also announced the addition of three weekly flights between Tokyo/Narita, Japan and Guam effective July 1, expanding the schedule to 14 weekly flights between the two cities. United will offer six weekly morning flights, daily afternoon flights and one Sunday evening flight to provide more travel choices and connectivity to its customers.

United has been gradually restoring service since early May, when it announced the addition of two weekly flights – a Saturday morning flight and a Sunday evening flight between Tokyo/Narita and Guam to its daily service. On June 3, United will operate two additional morning flights per week, bringing the total number of flights to 11 times per week. Beginning July 1, with the addition of the three new flights, United will operate 14 weekly flights between the two cities.
