Lottie’s will launch Cinco de Mayo with a happy hour from 6-7:30 p.m. Customers can sip $4 Dos Equis Pints, $6 Mamitas Seltzers, $6 Dobel Shots and $7 Jose Traditional Margaritas. Festive culinary highlights will include $3 tacos (steak, chicken, or shrimp), $5 elotes, and Craft Winchester Chips & Salsa flights; which include a selection of 4 delicious salsas – Charred Shishito Chili, Peruvian Chili and Cumin, Chipotle and Huitlacoche and Classic Roja.
Mamitas, Dos Equis, and Dobel sampling and giveaways will run throughout happy hour.

Burrito Beach will be celebrating with various $5 entree deals Monday through Friday. May 2 through May 6, with daily deals on burritos, bowls, and tacos at Burrito Beach locations throughout the Chicago area (excluding O’Hare).
FireLake Grill House and Cocktail Bar
From May 5 to 7, stop by the American grill to try their Mexican-inspired specialties. For breakfast, try offerings such as Capirotada (bread pudding, panela syrup, rum-dipped raisins, candied pecans, Queso Fresco) or Carnitas Skillet Carnitas Skillet (oven-roasted pork carnitas, fried egg, poblano fire-roasted, caramelized onion, hash browns, serrano salsa). In the afternoon, opt for lunch dishes such as the Cosecha salad (blackened romaine heart, butternut squash, sweet potato, mushrooms, Mexican calabacita, tomato and garlic confit, roasted panela, crispy onions, chicken grilled, spring onion vinaigrette) or a torta pibil (Pulled Pork, Chorizo, Chihuahua Cheese, Marinated Jalapeno Aioli, Yucca Fries). Pair it with a Mangonada Ahumad, i.e. a smoky mango cocktail, made with Espadín Mezcal-Mango, Chamoy, Tajin, Blackberry, Ancho Chili and Tamarind.

Sip summer drinks such as Strawberry Mint Tequila Smash (Calirosa Blanco, mixed strawberry, mint, agave nectar, lime) and refresh with a Cool Cucumber Margarita (Calirosa Anejo, cucumber puree, agave nectar, lemon green, or spice things up with a Mexican Mule (Calirosa Blanco, Lime, Ginger Beer) On May 5, Calirosa will be on hand to conduct a tasting of its tequila from 4-8 p.m., free with the purchase of the one of Calirosa’s signature cocktails or for hotel guests at the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown.

Gaijin
Chef Paul Virant’s Gaijin is Chicago’s first okonomiyaki restaurant, offering both the Hiroshima and Osaka styles of the savory Japanese pancake. For Cinco de Mayo week (May 2-9), Gaijin will be offering Carnitas Osaka (Crispy Pork Shoulder, Taqueria Carrots, Bonito Flake) for $20, while supplies last.

Velvet Tacos
As part of the WTF (Weekly Taco Feature), Velvet Taco will be offering a special Steak Milanese taco ($5.95) from May 4-10. The Milanese steak taco includes breaded steak, avocado, red chili aioli, lettuce, tomato, onion, cream mayonnaise and marinated fresnos in a flour tortilla. Pair the Bold Taco with any of Velvet Taco’s signature alcoholic beverages, including:

Old town house
This year, Old Town Pour House has teamed up with Chicago Sports and Social for a festive evening of great food, great drinks and upbeat music.
From 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., guests can enjoy specialty food and drink, as well as live DJ entertainment and “Mexican Bingo” (more commonly known as Lotería.) Tickets are $20 and include two drinks (drinks over $15 not included), a chip and salsa station, plus access to the DJ and bingo.
